Cookie policy
This website uses as little browser storage as possible. In the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, statistics and marketing cookies are set only if you accept them.

Summary
| Category | What is stored | When |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage | Always; the site sets no necessary cookies of its own |
| Statistics | Google Analytics 4 cookies | After you accept cookies (see Your choice) |
| Marketing | Google Ads cookies, set through Google Analytics, and LinkedIn Insight Tag cookies | After you accept cookies (see Your choice) |
Necessary storage
The website remembers your cookie choice so that it does not ask again on every page. The choice is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and is not sent to us.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
tapio-consent |
Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or declined statistics and marketing cookies | Until you change your choice or clear the site data in your browser |
tapio-region |
Session storage | Remembers whether the cookie banner applies to you, so the check runs once | Until you close the browser tab |
Form protection. Pages with an enquiry form use hCaptcha (Intuitive Machines, Inc.) to protect the form against bots. hCaptcha is loaded only when you are about to use the form, and it processes your IP address and browser data to tell people from bots. See the hCaptcha privacy policy.
Tutorial videos. Videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you click play. After that, YouTube (Google) may store data in your browser under its own privacy policy.
Your choice
One choice in the cookie banner covers both statistics and marketing cookies: Accept allows Google Analytics, Google's measurement of our Google ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Decline allows none of them.
- In the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland all are off by default: neither Google Analytics nor the LinkedIn Insight Tag is loaded until you accept cookies in the cookie banner. If we cannot tell where you are, we treat you the same way.
- Elsewhere they load without a banner. You can switch them off at any time in Cookie settings.
To decide whether to show the banner, the website asks our content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) which country your connection comes from, or, if that is not available, reads your browser's time zone. Only the result (banner or no banner) is kept, in your browser, for the current session.
Statistics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> |
Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of your visit | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics also receives a few events with only non-personal classification values. When a form is accepted by our server, a generate_lead event says which form was sent, which product group and type of enquiry you chose (for example "RQP Live, quotation") and which button on the site led you to the form; a form that could not be sent gives a form_error event with the kind of error. Clicks on contact and enquiry buttons give a cta_click event with the button's place and label, and a click on the demo booking calendar gives a demo_calendar_click event. Analytics never receives your name, email address, phone number, company, country or anything you type in a message.
For more on how Google processes this data, see Google's privacy policy.
Marketing cookies
Google Ads
We advertise on Google Search with Google Ads (provided by Google Ireland Limited). When you have accepted cookies, Google Analytics lets Google Ads know when a visit that started from one of our Google ads leads to an enquiry or a click on the demo booking calendar, so that we can see which ads bring enquiries. Google Ads receives the same classification values as Google Analytics, never your name, email address, phone number, company or anything you type in a form. We do not use this data to show you personalised ads or to build remarketing audiences.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_aw |
Google Ads, set through Google Analytics | Remembers that you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads, so that a later enquiry can be linked to the ad | 90 days |
_gcl_au |
Google Ads, set through Google Analytics | Measures how our Google ads perform | 90 days |
Google may combine this data with information from Google accounts of signed-in users who have allowed it in their Google account settings, to give us reports as totals only. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag (provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company) to measure our advertising on LinkedIn: how many people who saw or clicked one of our ads visited the website or sent an enquiry. LinkedIn also uses the data to show our ads to people who have visited the website, and to give us reports on visitors' job functions and industries. We see these only as totals, never who you are.
The website tells LinkedIn when a form is accepted by our server (which form, as a conversion code) and when you click the demo booking calendar. LinkedIn never receives your name, email address, phone number, company or anything you type in a form.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
li_fat_id |
LinkedIn, set on this website | Identifies a click on one of our LinkedIn ads, so that a visit or an enquiry can be linked to the ad | 30 days |
bcookie, li_sugr, lidc, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory |
LinkedIn, set on linkedin.com | Recognise your browser and match the visit with LinkedIn, under LinkedIn's own cookie policy | Up to 1 year |
LinkedIn processes this data together with us as a joint controller, and may transfer it outside the EU/EEA. See LinkedIn's privacy policy and LinkedIn's cookie policy.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the cookie banner and accept or decline statistics and marketing cookies, wherever you are. If you decline or withdraw consent, neither Google Analytics nor the LinkedIn Insight Tag is loaded after that, Google is told that you have withdrawn consent, and the website removes the Google Analytics, Google Ads and LinkedIn cookies it can reach (those set on this website). Cookies that LinkedIn sets on linkedin.com can be removed in your browser settings. You can also clear this site's cookies in your browser settings.
Your personal data
The privacy notice explains how we handle the personal data you send through our forms, and your rights, including the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
